After the unfortunate accident with the Altima, we searched for a new/affordable car. It took a few months, but we struck gold when my sister-in-law hooked us up with an awesome Mazda 3. We had it for about a month when I got into our second accident. I was driving up to a red light in the farthest right-hand lane when a car pulled right in front of me! It was heavy traffic (being that it was rush hour) so I didn't notice the cars in the two lanes left of me waving him through. I hit him hard enough that my airbag deployed and tweaked my neck a little... Luckily, the other kid I hit and I were ok. I am also lucky enough to have had a police officer witness the whole thing, so he cited the kid a ticket and wrote me up a police report...oh and arrested the other driver, since he didn't have a valid license. Haha! Now we have a fixed car and a lot of bills that we might need to pay back if the other insurance doesn't come through. We're crossing our fingers that they do... if not, what do we learn from this lesson? Be more aware when you're driving, or have a bank account for your car because something will always come up.
