It's My Party

The day began with excitement! It's almost like he totally knew it would be all about him.

 Then it got a little sad (if he's in the stroller, it's got to be moving)

 Then he got curious about his presents 

It fits!

 Then it was busy, busy, busy at Grammy's house with Aunt Meri and the girls! They got Lincoln his favorite toy- the "Cosy Coupe".

 Then it was time to sing Happy Birthday! It's tradition to wear these stylish birthday glasses, but nothing was going to get in between this kid and his cake!

 Clean up was not as fun 

It started to feel a little like torture...

So after a day of playing, pizza, singing with cake and an oh so horrible cleaning... It was time to fall asleep. The evening turned sad again when he woke up still sitting in his carseat...

 

But it became exciting again when we came home to Jichan, Baba, Aunt Kay, Uncle Jeff and baby Jay!

 Then it became a little suspicious, "why does everyone keep singing to me?"

But why question when there's cake

 I think he knew it would only be proper to eat with a fork since he was wearing his birthday crown

In a nutshell, the day was FUN! 

Happy First Birthday to this happy, easy going, and charismatic little boy! 

The best kid a first time mother could ask for AND the best family to celebrate him with me!
