I absolutely LOVE rainy days! The smell and the momentary relief from the intense heat/ break from our usual sunny days. For the last few years our house hasn't had a sufficient porch to allow for open doors or windows when it rains, so our fist day of rain in our new house got us all excited. We opened up the house, put Lincoln in his rain gear and whipped out the kite. Our new backyard has been one of the best parts of our new place and proven that we've been so blessed to have found it. Having two kids has seriously limited my endurance when leaving the house for any reason, so the extra space has kept my sanity intact.
Like a little kid, Ken ran around with the kite until Lincoln started to cry that it was his turn.
It mostly just drug on the ground...
"Look Mama, it's flying!"
Little guy happily enjoyed the show from the porch. Lucky for me, Lincoln has proven to be the best form of entertainment for his little shadow.
Since Lincoln is the only one with a raincoat, we all got to watch while he stood in the most intense portion of the down pour. I'm one lucky lady to have such cute boys!
